On September 28 the American Cancer Society honored Anthony Senior at their annual “Comedy Against Cancer” fundraising event. Motts Pelazza served as the Emcee and Professional Donation Hugger for the crowd of 250+ attendees.  Lori Brayton of the Daphne Seybolt Culpepper Memorial Foundation was the 2023 C.Anthony & Jean Whittingham Philanthropic Award Recipient, and the crowd heard from Elham Azizi, PhD, a researcher at Columbia University and the 2017 Pay-If Fund Grant recipient.  Finally, comedians Billy Garan & Steve Shaffer performed to a well-fed and receptive audience. The best part? Together, we raised over $215,000, with $45,000 towards the American Cancer Society Pay-If Research Fund.
