Viking Construction conducts ongoing OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training. OSHA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor and it stands for Occupational Safety and Health Agency. They help ensure safe and healthful working conditions for men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.
During the OSHA 10 training we covered construction industry health hazards including material handling hazards, hand and power tool dangers, and more. The OSHA 30 training reviewed crane hazards, steel structure safety considerations and activities that may cause muscular skeletal injuries or repetitive motion disorders.
Viking employees were also trained on proper fire extinguisher usage as seen in the picture below.
We strive to create and maintain safe working environments for our employees, which includes providing updated training. Every day should be a safe day.
